In memory of Parlee Caudill Back Passed January 12, 2021 Born July 29, 1928 Parlee Caudill Back, age 92, passed away peacefully on January 12 after a long life. Parlee was born on July 29, 1928 to Rich and Julia Back Caudill in Jeremiah, Kentucky. She married Carson Back on November 23, 1946, after he returned from service during World War II. They temporarily lived in Doty Creek, Kentucky before relocating to Williamsburg, Ohio, when they adopted Deanna in 1960 and Connie in 1964. When Parlee’s children were young, the phrase “stay-at-home-mom” didn’t’ exist. It was typical at the time to stay at home as a housewife while their husbands worked. She cared deeply for her home and family. An excellent cook, she delighted family and friends with her signature dishes. Parlee was a devoted member of the Northern New Home Old Regular Baptist church, and more recently the Westchester Old Regular Baptist church for many years. Parlee was preceded in death by her parents and husband. She is survived by her sister Doris Ann Coots (Louisville, Kentucky), her two children, Deanna and Connie, grandson Derec, and a multitude of cousins, nieces and nephews. Special thank you to her loving caregivers at Mallard Cove/the Willows and Queen City Hospice, who not only provided comfort to her physically but brought joy to her final years. Services will be held at the Maham Funeral Home, 187 North Second Street, Williamsburg, Ohio on Friday, January 15, 2021 at 1:00pm. Visitation will be from 12:00pm until the time of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations to Queen City Hospice would be preferred, 4605 Duke Drive, Suite 220, Mason, OH 45040, in memory of Parlee Back.
