Melinda Napier

Melinda Napier, 65, of Batavia, Ohio, left this world on May 6th, 2026, to be with her lord and savior.

Melinda was born March 31st, 1961 to Carol Brummett (Clifton) and Shelby Brummett in Reading, Ohio,

where she grew up and attended school.

A loving wife to Paul Napier for nearly 40 years and Mother to all of her children, Randy Price, Jerry

Holdcroft, Calista Napier, Nick Napier, Morgan Napier and Marissa Kohlrenken (Napier). Melinda had

endless room in her heart and home for her countless grandchildren and extended family.

Melinda enjoyed many hobbies and found joy in all aspect of life. Spending all year long crocheting

blankets for each of her grandchildren's Christmas presents. Going on road trips with her best friend and

soul mate Paul just to grab her favorite hot dog in West Virginia or catch a live concert of some gospel

music. A dedicated member of her church, Victory Baptist Church in Batavia, Melinda often helped run

events, plan charities and donated her own time and efforts for many things outside the Sunday services

where you could find her praising the word of Jesus Christ. The host of every holiday dinner, Melinda

always made sure everyone had a plate and a seat,often rearranging her home to make room for the

large family that filled every room with love. Melinda even had unque traditions that her family will carry

with them forever, like the non-traditional but highly anticipated 3way spaghetti dinner she made for

Christmas that her children loved so much every year.

Melinda Napier was a kind soul who will be missed by many people for many years to come. Her wings

were ready but our hearts were not.

Melinda is survived by, her Husband Paul, her 6 children, siblings; Robin, Jimmy, Linda and her

grandchildren. She is predeceased in death by her parents Carol and Shelby Brummett.

Memorial services were held for the family and friends at Victory Baptist Church.
