Marion (nee Gosey) age 97 passed away Thursday Feb. 23, 2017. She was known to all who loved her as "Mame", Beloved wife of the late Robert S. Croswell, Jr., loving mother of R. Scott (Stephanie) Croswell, Ellen (Don) Morrison, Susan (Roger) Maham, Jane A. Croswell and John W.Croswell, cherished grandmother of Ellie (Chris) Preston, Andy Maham, Nancy (Jake) Edmondson, Stephen Croswell, John R. Croswell, Maggie (Kevin) Legg, Betsy Croswell, Robby (Maris) Croswell, Nick (Katie) Croswell, Adam (Amy) Gedling, Ben Wyler. Cherished great grandmother of Evie, Elliott, Everett and Ellis Preston, Grayson and Kenley Edmondson, Hunter Croswell and Isabella Legg. Devoted sister of her twin Hazel Creager and brother George Gosey. Marion along her husband and later children helped to run the family business, Croswell Bus Lines, until Jan. 2016. As a 75 year resident of Williamsburg, Ohio and Clermont County, Marion was extremely active in community service and took great pride in her long time Board of Trustees service to the Clermont County Public Library. She retired from the Board of Trustees in early 2016 where she served more than 35 years, more than half the time the library system has been opened. She served longer than any other board member and the Williamsburg Branch was dedicated in her honor as the "Marion G. Croswell" Library. Marion was active in local Republican politics from the 1950's to the present. She served as an honorary member of the Mercy Hospital Foundation Board, Clermont County YMCA Board Member in the 1990's, member of the Williamsburg First Presbyterian Church and former trustee, and was named the "Orpha Gatch Citizenship Award" winner in 2016, presented by the Clermont County League of Women Voters. Services will be held at the Williamsburg United Methodist Church, 330 Gay Street, Williamsburg, Ohio on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at 10am. Visitation will be Monday evening from 5 to 9pm at the church. The family prefers Memorials to the Clermont County Public Library, 326 Broadway, Batavia, Ohio 45103.
