( March 25,1954 - December 28th 2024] )
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Johnny "John" Holley, who left us peacefully on the evening of December 28th 2024, at the age of 70. John was a loving father, brother, Papaw, and friend.
Born on March 25, 1954 John was known for his work ethic, and commitment to everything he did. He was the kind of person who always gave his best, either at work or at home. Whether it was working in the garage, taking care of his animals, or being there for his loved ones, John approached each task with relentless determination and precision. He was a man who believed in the value of a job well done, and no challenge was ever too big or too small for him to take on.
John’s life, however, was not without its challenges. For the past 6 years, he fought bravely against cancer and other illnesses, never allowing his battles to define him. Despite the toll that illness took on him, John faced each day with incredible strength and determination. His spirit was unbreakable, and he continued to show up for the people he loved, even during the hardest times. Through it all, his sense of humor, love for his family, and passion for life never wavered. He never gave up.
John was a devoted family man who cherished time spent with those closest to him. He treasured his moments with his children, grandchildren and friends. His bond with his dogs was a love like no other, they were often by his side, offering companionship as he worked or simply enjoyed life.
John is survived by his Children Mike Holley, (Carrie) Brandy Wisbey (Chris) and Julie Poulin, His grandchildren Landen, Jaylie, Aiden, Collin, and Gavin. Sisters Debbie and Patty and brother Gary. He was preceded in death by parents John and Betty Holley, brothers Jerry and Jimmy Holley. Visitation will be held 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home
John may no longer be with us, but his legacy of hard work, kindness, and love for life will live on. He was a true example of living with passion and purpose, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Rest easy John, you fought hard-you’ve earned it.
