Hilda "Gerry" Fields

Hilda “Gerry” Fields, 91 of Jackson, Kentucky passed away Friday, October 9, 2026 in Jackson, Kentucky.

Born on November 15, 1934 in Jackson, Kentucky, Gerry was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. In the steady work of home and family life, she built a life marked by devotion to the everyday moments that matter most.

She enjoyed reading, working puzzles and socializing. These simple pleasures were a meaningful part of her life and reflected the ways she spent her time among those around her.

Gerry was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Fields; her parents, Woodrow and Pearlie Gabbard; her brother, Gary Gabbard; and her sisters, Lois Kidwell, Judy Hinkle, Virginia Hinkle and Brenda Deaton.

She is survived by her brother, Larry Gabbard; her sister, Kathy (Don) Combs; special nieces, Kayla (D.J.) Jennings and Traci Lewis; special nephew, Jeff Hinkle; and a host of other nieces, nephews and relatives.

Visitation for Gerry will be held 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 13, 2026 at the Maham Funeral Home in Williamsburg, Ohio with her graveside service to be held Wednesday, October 14, at 11:00 AM at the Williamsburg Township Cemetery in Williamsburg, Ohio with Jeremy Stout officiatng. Burial to follow with Don Combs, Jeff Hinkle, Craig Deaton, Brian Hinkle, Jeremy Stout and Gary Gabbard serving as pallbearers. Larry Gabbard will serve as honorary pallbearer.

Hilda “Gerry” Fields will be remembered with love by those who knew her, and her memory will remain a lasting part of the family and community she called home.
