UNKENHOLT, Fredrich "Fred" Lee

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Fredrich "Fred" Unkenholt, who left this world peacefully on February 13, 2025, at age of 84. Fredrich Lee was born on January 31, 1941, in Blue Ash, Ohio. A Williamsburg High School graduate of 1959, he was a proud alumnus who played baseball and football. During his youth, he was an active 4H member showing cattle. He enlisted in the United States Air Force and dedicated 4 years of his life to serving as an esteemed member of the force. Fred was preceded in death by his parents Roger and Margaret Unkenholt. He is survived by his sister Nancy Thomason and his partner of over 40 years, Betty Gottman, along with her children, Maria Gottman Herald and Rhonda Gottman Hogshead. In addition, Fred is survived by his four children: Tracy Ortman and husband John of Williamsburg, Ohio; Melissaa Ringgold of Charlotte, North Carolina; Terry Unkenholt and wife Jina of Williamsburg, Ohio; Cindy Unkenholt and husband Ray Compagna of Ashville, North Carolina. His family includes four grandchildren; Melia Ringgold, Cenica Ringgold, Eric (and wife Taylor) Ortman, Amanda Ortman and three great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, February 21, at 2:00 PM at the Maham Funeral Home 187 North Second Street Williamsburg, Ohio 45176. Visitation will take place from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. His final resting place is Concord Cemetery  Williamsburg, Ohio.
