Earl Ray Fithen

FITHEN, Earl Ray Army Vet, Vietnam, age 79, passed away Friday, January 13, 2023, beloved husband to Bonnie Fithen (nee Courtot) loving father of Melanie (Anthony) Smith, Sylvia Fithen, John Stephenson, Michele ( Dwanye) Brewer and the late Walter Ray, beloved son of the late Walter and Marie (nee Higby Fithen), devoted brother of  Mary Ellen (James) Latham, Ethel ( and the late Donnie) Carrington, and the late  Richard, Bill, Harold, Emma, and Clara, cherished grandfather of Danielle, Katilyn, Kiana and Daniel Taylor, cherished great-grandfather of Ivy Raye. Beside loving his family Earl had a passion for old cars, motorcycles, being a mechanic and truck driver by trade he loves to turn wrenches and fabricate and build stuff with his hands, riding his quad and horses and coon hunting.  Earl was one of those classic ones that everyone knew.  He loved his classic cars, his classic tractors and his classic way of living.  He was the definition of a simple kind of man.  You would stop by and no matter what, he was outside working, or in his garage working, mowing, cutting wood, hauling something or tending a fire in his infamous wood burning stove.  He never stopped working and there wasn't much he couldn't fix, especially cars.  He didn't believe in sitting still and there wasn't enough daylight in a day.  We can't forget his love of animals.  He had horses, dogs and even an old crow that would say his name.  He loved his cars, trucks, Quads, tractors, UTV's, and we can't forget his love of motorcycles too.     Services will be held at the Maham funeral Home 187 North Second Street, Williamsburg, Ohio on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, at 2pm. Visitation will be from 12 noon until time of service.
