Donald F. Littman

Donald F Littman, 84, passed away peacefully Tuesday June 14th, 2016. Don was preceded in death by his mother Mae Reeves Littman and his father Fred Littman. A Walnut Hills graduate, Don received his Bachelors degree from University of Cincinnati, and his Masters degree from Xavier University. Don ran an officers’ club in Germany while serving in the US Air Force. He spent his life seeking and sharing knowledge. He taught school for more than 30 years, 28 of those years in the Norwood school district. His passion and care for his students was unmistakable in his commitment not only to the classroom but the individual students. While teaching, Don earned his law degree and started his own private law practice all the while caring for his farm and the many animals he loved. Don retired from Norwood High School in 1988 and started a new venture shortly after as a volunteer radio broadcasting at WOBO FM, sharing his love of big band/swing era music with those that tuned in. Always the teacher, while on the air he made sure the listeners had the necessary background information of many recordings for the listeners to more fully appreciate each song he shared. Don was the manager and producer of the Pam Noah Swing Band producing both live performances and 8 professional recordings. Don was a faithful member of Faith Works Fellowship. Always available to help when needed, Don was a faithful friend, always generous with his time and his talents often setting aside his own own needs to the benefit of others. He will be truly missed by the many lives he touched along the way. In lieu of flowers, Don requested that gifts be shared with Faith Works Fellowship, (should be mailed to Matthew 25 Ministries address listed below) The celebration of life service will be held at Matthew 25 Ministries, 11060 Kenwood Road, Blue Ash, Oh 45242 on Sunday, June 19, 2016 at 3:00 P.M. Graveside Services will take place at Williamsburg Cemetery, 824 Gay Street, Williamsburg, Ohio on Friday, June 17, 2016 at 11:00 A.M.
