Dexter K. Bastin

Dexter K. Bastin, beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, was born on September 19, 1952 in Danville, Kentucky. He was the son of Odes Bastin, Mary Godbey Bastin, and Helen Fritz Bastin.

He attended Williamsburg High School, University of Cincinnati, and Hamline University School of Law. He practiced law in Clermont and Brown counties for 46 years.

On June 17, 1983 he married Kathleen Mary Doogan at St. Rose Church in Cincinnati, Ohio. On July 5, 1990 they welcomed their first and only child Daniel Joseph Odes Bastin.

Dexter was a resident of Williamsburg, Ohio for 62 years. He was an avid skier, racquetball player, traveler and UC Bearcat fan.

On June 5, 2023 Dexter took the ski lift to the heavenly Black Diamond Run and will be greatly missed by family and friends.

In addition to his wife and son, Dexter is survived by his brothers Charles Bastin (Sherry Hogan), Wayne Bastin (Tina Marino) and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at the Maham Funeral Home, 187 North Second Street, Williamsburg, Ohio on Sunday, June 11, 2023 at 2:00pm. Visitation will be from 12:00pm until the time of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials to Student Lunches for Needy Children made payable to Williamsburg Local Schools, 549-A West Main Street, Williamsburg, Ohio 45176.
