Betty Jane Fischer

FISCHER Betty Jane (nee Plemons), age 81, passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2018. During her life time she was a caring wife, devoted mother, cherished grandmother, teacher, quilter, fabric artist, scout leader, basketball coach, secretary, and home maker. She also enjoyed painting, gardening, and cooking. Her creative energy shown through every aspect of her life touching many. Never meeting a stranger, her laughter, smiles and welcoming spirit will be dearly missed by all. Loving mother of Frank, Suzanne, Amy and Andrew Fischer, cherished grandmother to Arias and Nathan Fischer, also survived by her son-in-law Bruce Thomas and Scott Sloan. Preceded in death by her parents: Horace and Frances Mamie Stallcup Plemons, sisters: Kathleen Plemons Schultz, Etta Sue Fletcher, brothers: Uil Gene Plemons, and Horace Plemons, Jr., ½ brother: Dewey Harris. Survivors include her sister and brother-in-law: Juil and Elmer Dixon, of Sweetwater, TN. The family will have a celebration of life service on Saturday, August 4th at Maham Funeral Home, 187 North Second Street, Williamsburg, Ohio 45176. Visitation will from 12pm until the time of the service at 2pm.
