Barbara Louise Whaley

Barbara Louise Whaley, October, 1947- June 2nd, 2026

Barb, at age 78 passed away peacefully Tuesday evening. She spent her last moments in the loving hands

of her granddaughter Holly Miller (Taylor) and her grandson in law Jason Miller.

Barb was born to the late Raymond and Cecilia Gilpin. The 8th child of 9. She was a sweet, sassy country

girl who loved animals and being barefoot outside. Her wish for a baby sister of her own was granted on

her birthday when her sister and lifelong friend Margaret Gilpin was born.

In 1968 Barb gave birth to her son David Taylor. She raised him with love and the two were best friends. A

few years later she gained another son Michael Herron. He brought so much joy to her life.

In 1986 Barb became a grandma. Holly Miller was born and the two were inseparable.

In 2004 she gained a new title. Great Grandma to Haili Miler. She adored her baby girl. Only a month later

she welcomed her grandson David Taylor Jr. She loved having two babies to spoil.

In 2009 she was blessed with another great granddaughter Chloe Miller. She was over the moon.

Barb was a free spirit who loved her big family. She knew how to make everyone feel at home. She didn't

dwell on her many hardships. Her long life was filled with family, friends, love and laughs.

She is already so missed, but the impact she had on everyone lucky enough to cross her path will never be forgotten. We love you grams!

Celebration of Barbara Life will be held at Maham Funeral Home, 187 North Second Street, Williamsburg, Ohio 45176 on Wednesday June 10, 2026, from 6- 7:30 PM.
